Help save WGTS 91.9FM
August 7, 2007
In September, Christian-owned WGTS 91.9FM, located in suburban Maryland (USA) will be sold to the highest bidder which as of late is a secular entity. Around 25 million dollars is being offered for WGTS 91.9FM, the second largest non-commercial Christian radio station in the country.
When sold, WGTS will likely become a secular radio station. Selling WGTS would mean the loss of a priceless ministry that has a potential listenership of over 6 million in the Maryland/DC/ Virginia area and countless others around the world.
What would the sale of WGTS mean for (the potential) millions who need a bridge to Christendom and a source of hope and encouragement at a time when it is needed now more than ever?! (40% of listeners to WGTS are unchurched)
Please join the FIGHT (yes! this is a fight!) to save OUR radio station by expressing your displeasure with this by writing to the parties who are negotiating this sale.
Send emails to comments@cuc.edu and copy to wgts@wgts919.com to encourage them.
